Our Maurerhof is situated at an altitude of 1300 m in Val Giovo, an enchanting side valley of Wipptal, framed by the Sarntal Alps. The farm is first documented in 1288 under the name of “Maurachhof”.

We purchased the Maurerhof in 1988 and refurbished it. During the building works we placed great emphasis on regional materials: the wood is from the surrounding forests, our stones are natural silver quartzite from Val di Vizze.

To enhance the farm we bought the Alpine pasture “Bergalm” in 1990. With the farm and the pasture we have been able to fulfil a dream. For us, the two are a true labour of love.
